New BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Torch Models Coming In September 2011

BlackBerry Bold Touch

The folks at Research In Motion Canada, have finally announced the release dates for the much anticipated Touchscreen enabled BlackBerry Bold models and Torch Models.

These new additions to the BlackBerry family are the BlackBerry Bold (previously known as Bold Touch) 9900/9930  with UMTS/CDMA capability, the BlackBerry Torch 9810 and the Blackberry Torch 9860/9850  also with UMTS/CDMA function.

With the launch of these new models comes the launch of the new BlackBerry OS 7 which promises 40% improvement on the speed of BlackBerry OS 6 browser, voice activated Universal Search and the ability to separate corporate and personal data on the device (I ain't sure if this means you can have both BIS and BES on the same device).

NOTE: BlackBerry Curve, Bold and Storm models can now be upgraded to OS 6 depending on if your network provider supports it. Check out how I upgraded my blackberry curve 3G to OS (Bundle 2475)

The new BlackBerry Bold model would be the thinnest BlackBerry device so far coming in at a sleek 10.5mm Winking smile.

All the devices are powered by single-core 1.2GHz processors with 768MB RAM and all have NFC support with TFT capacitive touchscreen, 8GB of expandable memory and 5 MP autofocus camera with 720p video recording.

Full Specifications for these new BlackBerry devices are available at GSM Arena.
