Yahoo Android Smartphone To Launch On SoftBank Network, Japan
The “AQUOS PHONE THE PREMIUM SoftBank 009SH” has been rebranded as the new Android based Yahoo Phone. Looks like some friendly competition is in the air as Android is owned by Yahoo's nemesis, Google Inc.
Manufactured by Japanese company, Sharp, Yahoo Phone sales will start late next moth in Japan.
Features of this mobile device include a 4-inch LCD touchscreen with qHD resolution and 3D support which make 3D gaming and video viewing possible. An 8 megapixel camera with a CMOS sensor, Bluetooth v3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, microSDHC card slot and a built-in digital TV tuner are not left out either.
The Yahoo Phone is expected to ship with some Yahoo Japan apps pre-installed and all Softbank subscribers get to become Yahoo Japan premium members for 2 years FREE!
Yahoo Phone owners also get to enjoy additional points for every purchase made on Yahoo Shopping for the next two years.
