BlackBerry Torch 9860 Launched in Middle East

BlackBerry Fans in the Middle East can now rejoice as the new BlackBerry Torch 9860 has been released to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar.

With the largest screen on any existing BlackBerry device, the BlackBerry 9860 is all touch-enabled without any physical keyboard which hard core text addicts might not be cool with.

Top features of the BB 9860 are as follows:

  1. BlackBerry OS 7
  2. 3.7″ high-resolution (800x480 WVGA) capacitive touch screen (253 ppi)
  3. 1.2 GHz processor, Liquid Graphics technology and 768 MB RAM
  4. 4 GB on-board memory, plus microSD slot supporting up to 32 GB cards
  5. 5.0 MP camera, supports 720p HD video recording
  6. Orientation Sensor (Accelerometer), Digital Compass (Magnetometer), Proximity Sensor
  7. Built-in GPS
  8. Wi-Fi® - 802.11 b/g/n
  9. Bluetooth® 2.1
  10. Wireless Network support: Tri-Band HSPA+, Quad-Band GSM/EDGE
  11. 1230 mAh, removable, rechargeable battery

No word yet on which mobile networks will be getting the device but I can bet Etisalat UAE will be amongst the first .
