If you’ve been searching for how to repurpose your long YouTube videos into IGTV videos without editing them again, this guide/video is for you. It basically shows you how to take any horizontal (landscape) video that runs longer than 1 minute, upload it to IGTV and have it play just fine without any parts being cut off.
Unfortunately this isn’t supported on Mobile, so you have to do it via PC.

Log into instagram on your PC. Switch to your profile page and then click on the IGTV tab. Click on Upload.
Drag and drop your video into this section and wait for it to finish uploading. While it’s uploading you can set your preferred cover as well as edit the title and description of your video.
WARNING: You can’t change the cover photo once uploaded.
When you’re done, click on Post and your video will immediately go live.
Let’s check out an example of the first video I uploaded to IGTV. Launch Instagram, go to your profile page, tap on the IGTV video you just uploaded. When it starts playing, click on the watch IGTV video icon to go full screen in vertical mode.
To switch to horizontal mode, tap on the bracket like square at the bottom left of the video and the video will flip into horizontal mode for enhanced viewing.
