Within Nigeria, You Can Now Call All Networks From Any Network For 11 kobo/sec

Just as data plans are getting cheaper by the day in Nigeria ( Globacom Nigeria is leading the pack with their 4.5Gb for N2,500, 30 day plan ) so are call tariffs.

For just N5 a day, you can make calls to any network in Nigeria from any of the 4 GSM telecoms in the country for just 11 kobo/sec (this translates to a awesome N6.60 per minute). Unlike other plans that offer such a low tariff for a N5 daily access fee, the N5 charge attached to the plans below is not deducted until you make your first call of the day.

In other words, if you don’t make a call, you don’t get billed. If you make a call, you get billed N6.60 + N5 for the first minute and afterwards for the rest of the day till 12 midnight, it’s just N6.60 per minute.

To migrate to these awesome plans, simply dial the codes below:

NOTE: Migration is free of charge if it’s your first migration in 30 days. If it’s the second time you’re migrating in a month, a N100 charge could apply.

Glo GBAM Extra: *100*6*1#

MTN TruTalk Plus: *123*20#

Etisalat EasyLife 4.0 Limited Edition: *420*1#

Airtel Smart Talk: *315#

SMS rates remain unchanged at a rate of N4 and N10 for local and international SMS respectively. It kinda s**ks leaving the N2/sms tariff that I was enjoying on Glo Bounce. I prefer SMS over calls.

I’m looking forward to competitive call and SMS bundles across all networks in the country just like they have overseas.
