One of the things most folks don’t like about WhatsApp is that it lets everyone know your online status even when you don’t want to be bothered with messages. Well, WhatsApp has listened and if you download the latest update for WhatsApp For Android via http://www.whatsapp.com/android/, you can now hide your online status, profile photo and status.
Simply go Settings >> Account >> Privacy to modify who can see your personal info.
While this is a welcome feature, it now means that we have to fall back on SMS for urgent text messaging given that someone’s last seen notification could be 5 weeks ago and there’s no way of knowing if he or she has received and read your messages especially if these messages are of somewhat urgent nature.
